A short break from my usual Shadow Shot Sunday programming this week. Until now all of the photos I have taken for Shadow Shot Sunday have been from around my house and yard (both front and back) and have been taken on the day with my Nikon D3100. I will probably return to that format next Sunday. I like imposing some limits on my creativity. Today though it is time for something a little different. These photos were taken last Monday, at the beach, using Hipstamatic on my iphone. I went for a walk at the beach after the school drop off. It was beautiful there and the shadows were stunning!

Love the scenic monochrome of the first photo but the second shadow pattern is simply stunning!
ReplyDeleteWhat great captures of light and shadows, lines and form.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. The first one is such a peaceful scene. I would love to live near the beach, it is such a wonderful place to take an early morning stroll.
ReplyDeleteThe second photo is very interesting too. Not sure what is creating the checkerboard pattern, but it makes a great Shadow Shot!
Beautiful shadow shots.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Lovely shadows - the 2nd shot looks like it was truly designed that way with the pattern on it. Superb!
ReplyDeleteBoth captures are gorgeous! Love the pattern on the second one.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your contribution to Shadow Shot Sunday 2.
Dried Roses Shadow, have a blessed Sunday.
You provided us with some very nice shadows today.
ReplyDeleteThe second shot had me wanting to play Checkers!!! Stunning!

Wonderful photos! I love trying different camera apps with my phone. I think my favorite so far is Camera+.
