Tangle with D-C-A
Back again after an unintended break. I've been busy, making choices to do things other than tangling. Glad to do this one yesterday evening while watching some TV. This week's challenge from Diane and Carolien is to use tangles beginning with the letters D, C and A.
I chose D'rua by Mei Hua Teng (Damy), Capell by Anita Roby-Lavery and Aloha by Suzanne Fluhr.

Tangle with J-X-T
I'm back again for Diane and Carolien's weekly challenge. I'm not sure if I'll catch up on the one I missed or not.
I chose a couple of original tangles this week, mainly because it's been a while, particularly for Jetties.
J is for Jetties. X is for Xeni by Jacqueline Janssen and T is for Tipple (another original).

Tangle with H-S-O
Challenge number 50 from Diane and Carolien! It's been a busy week for me. I did this one over a week ago but it's taken me a while to post it. And now it's already time to sit down for challenge 51 tonight I think. Q-E-R Here I come!
For H-S-O I chose Helix by Suzanne McNeill, Sh'rock by Diane Lachance and O by Mei Hua Tang.

Tangle with T-P-D
I had fun with Diane and Carolien's challenge this week. I went to www.tanglepatterns.com and chose three patterns quickly then had fun putting them together on a tile. I'm happy with the outcome though there is a small change I'd like to make - making the Drip Drop down the tile bigger or perhaps leaving it out. Maybe I'll do another one later.
As well as Drip Drop by Debbie Perdue, there is Tamisolo by Hanny Waldburger and Pavonia by Angie Shade.

Tangle with A-#-X
Yay! Diane and Carolien's challenge is back. I've missed it while Diane's blog has been down. I completed this zentangle a while ago. Glad to be able to post it!
Tangles are Arukas, an original tangle, 4FUN by Mina Hsiao and X by Lila Popcheff.

Tangle with F-U-N
It is week 46 of Diane and Carolien's Weekly Challenge. From memory I'm pretty sure I've done all of them except for 1. It has been a great way to get to know different tangles and to practice lots.
It has also been a lot of F-U-N. This week for the letters F, U and N I chose Fish Net by Mariet Lustenhouwer, Undu by Daniel Lamothe and Nine Patch by Suzanne McNeill. Fish Net and Nine Patch were both new to me.

Tangle with W-I-R
I really enjoyed this week's challenge from Diane and Carolien. I chose Esther Piszeczek's tangle, Waax for W, Carole Ohl's Inapod for I and Jane Monk's Raindotty for R. For the string I did an oversize Waax. I feel like I've got more experimenting to do with these tangles and string.

Tangle with M-B-Z
M is for Molygon. I enjoyed playing with this newly released tangle some more.
B is for Basketweave by Suzanne McNeill. Lots of fun and concentration.
Z is for Zuan Shi by JJ LaBarbera. I find drawing really straight lines a real challenge. I kept it smallish to help myself out a bit.

Tangle with D-N-E
My niece chose the tangles for me this week for Diane and Carolien's challenge. She chose DL Nebula by Donna Hornsby, Nipa and Efilys by Sandra Strait. It was fun putting together three tangles chosen for me. After doing one I thought I'd have a go with the same tangles a different way.

Tangle with Y-M-#
I had lots of fun with this week's challenge from Diane and Carolien. I started by choosing three patterns and began a tile. I didn't like it but really likes a couple of the patterns I chose so started again. I started with 4fun by Mina Hsiao. What a fun pattern! I did it fairly big and my initial idea was to fill a couple of the sections with another pattern. But then I liked it so much I decided to leave it as a monotangle. I may add some shading later.
The other pattern I tried and liked first was Y-FUL POWER by Shoshi. I decided to try doing it quite large too. Then the search was on for a couple of patterns to fill some of the sections. I chose 4MOM by Jane Eileen and did a couple of variations of it. Then for M I chose MIANDER by Mimi Lempart. Cute in the tiny size!
It was a lot of fun experimenting with the sizes of the patterns, as well as enjoying my new pens and paper.

Tangle with J-S-W
'No mistakes, only opportunities!' - zentangle saying. You can probably tell where this tile did not turn out quite as I originally anticipated. I'm still fairly happy with it though and particularly with the Jalousie shading. As well as Jalousie by Stephanie Kukla I used the tangles Screen by Margaret Bremner and Warts and Wobbles by Cindy Straight. Here's my tile for Diane and Carolien's zentangle challenge this week.

Tangle with A-F-M
This is my second attempt at Diane and Carolien's challenge for this week. I wasn't really happy with the first one. Perhaps I'll change my mind when I add some shading. I did the second tile today. Tangles I used are Arukas (an original tangle), Fireworks by Heidi Cook and Minline by Mei Hua Tang (Damy). I particularly enjoyed learning and drawing Minline with it's continuous stroke.

Tangle with L-P-N
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate! I'm back from a fun and yummy lunch with family and looking forward to a quiet evening ahead. A well-balanced day in my opinion!
This week's letters for Diane and Carolien's zentangle challenge are L, P and N. I did this tile yesterday on Christmas Eve and is a little influenced by the season. I chose Pixiose by Margaret Bremner for P, Lantern by Donna Blair for L and N-meshed by Linda Rainsford for N.

Tangle with T-O-Q
Something a little different for me this week for Diane and Carolien's Weekly Zentangle Challenge. I chose 3 ribbon-like tangles. The first two I did were Organza by Ruth Howell and Qian-long by Diane Tai and at that point I was very happy with the tile. I then decided on the third tangle, Twistee by Livia Chua. For a while I was worried that I had overdone it and it felt too busy but some shading saved the day (and tile). All three of these tangles were a delight to draw.

The letters this week for Diane and Carolien's Weekly Challenge are X, P and I. I chose Lila Popcheff's tangle X for X, Karry Henn's tangle Palrevo for P and Jennifer Hohensteiner's tangle Ipso for I. For a change I added a little colour this week.

Tangle with B-E-X
B, E and X for Diane and Carolien's challenge this week. I chose Bask-It by Anna Houston, Equerre by Genevieve Crabe and Xeni by Jacqueline Janssen. These are all new-to-me tangles. I particulaly enjoyed drawing and shading Bask-It.
