Mistakes provide great opportunities for learning!
Today I learnt that if you cut a tube of glue open with scissors, it is a good idea to ensure there is no glue left on the scissors. My daughter got some fake nails and asked me to cut open the small tube of glue that came with them. I did so - with my good pair of kitchen scissors - I have a tendency to grab whatever is the closest and easiest option. A couple of hours later I picked the scissors up to cut open a packet of icing sugar and the blades would not budge. Very well stuck together! Oops.
Now just to hope that the scissors will once again be usable after some hot water, force and maybe a knife.

You wouldn't be the first - nor will you be the last
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling - I've been there too!
ReplyDeleteAnd: If you've got suerglue on your fingers, don't scratch, um, anything

ReplyDeleteThe important message in your post is that you learned! And now we will, too.
ReplyDelete:) At least it's a mistake you won't make twice.
ReplyDeleteI should be the most learned person on the planet in that case!
ReplyDeleteWhoops! Blessings.
ReplyDeleteWell, they do if you have a positive attitude about them. Otherwise, they can rather mess up your life!

if the warm water doesn't work.... nail polish remover - preferably acetone based.... should do the trick!
ReplyDeleteif the warm water doesn't work you can always use nail polish - acetone based....
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! Bring on the lessons!
ReplyDeleteYes...we can learn from our mistakes!
ReplyDeleteBeen there done that! (:>)
Happy Saturday!

I second Brenda's Acetone suggestion ... but be careful about prying with a knife. That is an accident waiting to happen. There is also a product called Glue Be Gone that might work. Little did you know that you would spend your Saturday trying to unstick a pair of sissors ... live and learn, as you said.
